About Archi-Lab

Behind the Design

Credits, team members and technical details provided by the designer.

Unique Properties: In this Archi-lab (architecture laboratory), we are experimenting “outside in”. The combination of the common exterior material in this sub-tropical city, such as brick, concrete, tiles and re-bars, are re-organized to bring the exterior scale to interior. The mixing of the new walls and old brick, the book shelves made from re-bars, are all architecture experiments which are on our way to explore the possibilities in spatial design.
Production Technology: brick, concrete, tiles and re-bars
Inspiration: aipei is a typical Asian city in which the style of the architecture is strongly affected by wester modernism. Taipei is a rainy humid city that makes the most of exterior walls full of tiles. We see more and more old tile buildings from the past decades.
