'행복의 의미(The Meaning of Happiness)'는 100제곱미터 규모의 아파트를 위한 주거 인테리어 디자인이다. 기존의 좁은 방 세 개짜리 구조를 서재와 거실, 다이닝 공간을 잇는 오픈 플랜으로 재구성했다. 거실과 다이닝룸의 위치를 서로 바꿔 주방과 거실 공간을 넓혔다. 곡선형 U자 현관에는 띠 형태의 조명을 설치해 동선을 유도하고 시야를 확장했다. 연한 청록빛 라탄 수납장, 폭포수를 연상시키는 무늬의 석재 타일, 목재와 섬세한 금속 디테일이 어우러져 공간을 완성한다.

고유 특성: Featuring an “art-filled home,” the designer create the artistic main walls at different end views. The pale turquoise rattan cabinets break free of the usual earth-tone palette, while the stone tiles with waterfall-like patterns bring out a sense of dynamic, rendering a flowing groove. The stone tiles, rattan doors, and wood introduce natural energy, while metal materials dot about the space to add exquisite details, creating an elegant high-end residential look.

생산 기술: The entryway storage room has multi functions like screening, storing and guiding the moving line. The band of lighting helps define the main moving line, while the nonparallel U-shaped design creates a gradually widening, brightening curved path with an enlarged sense of space.
디자인 과제: The original layout separates areas and the various sized doors and windows fragment the space. By reversing the living and dining room and rearranging the furniture, we maximize the usable space and open up visual connections as the open-plan layout lends an unblocked view.
연구: Fully communicating with this house resident, so that we can reach their real need. Design should be more humanize for people life.
영감: Our design expands the space through an open plan that rearranges the layout and breaks free from the original small-three-bedroom framework. We demonstrate for the apartment units, with few changes and creative use of curves, the cramped feel of the original layout is resolved.
프로젝트 기간: The project had finished in 2021.
운영 흐름: Breaking the limitation of the long narrow layout, we reverse the living and dining room and rearrange the direction of the living room, thus enlarging the kitchen and living room space. The large vertical surfaces integrate functions and conceal doors, extending the space depth.
