Scholars Xuntang 호텔 인테리어 소개

쉬에저쉰탕(Scholars Xuntang)은 중국 우시의 역사적 주거 건축물 내부에 조성된 호텔 인테리어이다. 5,400제곱미터 규모의 실내는 백색 벽과 검은 기와가 지닌 고유한 성격을 그대로 간직하고 있다. 기존 구조체를 보호하고 보강하여 시간의 흔적이 눈에 보이도록 남겨두었다. 장식은 절제되어 옛 건축의 결이 드러나도록 하였다. 사용된 재료는 목재 마감, 석재, 금전(金磚) 벽돌, 유리, 벽지, 도료, 리넨, 실크, 말라카 등나무 등이다. 지역에서 생산된 실크와 리넨 직물은 그 고장의 공예 전통을 반영한다. 이 디자인은 투숙객과 자연을 연결하고 오래된 건축물에 새로운 쓰임을 부여한다.
