About Erhu 의자
얼후(Erhu)는 중국 전통 현악기인 얼후에서 영감을 받은 의자이다. 이 디자인은 민족 문화를 현대 가구의 언어로 활용하여 현대적인 중국 스타일을 탐구한다. 구조는 단순하며, 좌면과 다리라는 단 두 개의 부분으로만 이루어져 있다. 등받이와 좌면, 앞다리는 미리 제작된 몰드에서 압착된 하나의 곡면 합판으로 형성된다. 표면은 애시 원목과 월넛으로 무늬목 마감되었으며, 다리는 월넛으로 제작되었다. 뒷다리의 형태는 명나라 양식 가구의 말굽 모양 다리를 연상시킨다. 곡선은 인체의 형태를 따른다.

- Unique Properties
- Inspired by Erhu, a traditional Chinese classical instrument, the design incorporated national culture as a language of modern furniture, exploring a new style of contemporary Chinese furniture.
The structure is so simple that there are only two parts: seat surface and legs. The chair back, seat surface and front leg are made of curved plywood as a whole, and the three dimensional seating space is completed with two dimensional curves fitting the shape of the human body. - Dimensions & Packaging

- The integrated shape of the seat surface, chair back and front leg is completed by pressing the curved plywood in a premade mold.
The surface used ash wood and walnut for veneering. The legs are made of walnut. - Design Challenge
