컬렉터(The Collector)는 이집트 카이로에 위치한 총면적 250제곱미터의 주거용 아파트 인테리어이다. 이 디자인은 미술품 수집가를 위한 공간으로, 더 많은 색채와 더 많은 패턴, 더 풍부한 질감과 더 다양한 액세서리를 지향하는 맥시멀리즘 콘셉트를 따른다. 인테리어는 카이로 나일강변에 자리한 아이샤 파흐미 공주의 역사적 궁전에서 영감을 받았다. 클래식한 코니스, 실크 벽 패널, 벽화, 원목 바닥재가 다채로운 패턴의 텍스타일과 조화를 이룬다. 또한 이 아파트는 여행 중 수집한 예술품과 오브제를 전시하여, 주거 공간이 하나의 미술관처럼 기능한다.

고유 특성: The project is a residential apartment located in Cairo with a total area of 250 m2. The client's lifestyle is best described as being an art collector that believe in maximalism. More is more was the concept behind this apartment. More colors, more patterns, more textures and more accessories. The design beautifully blends the client's personality with all pieces of art and objects that she has acquired from travels over time.

디자인 과제: Our challenge in this project was to create a design that beautifully blends the client's personality with all pieces of art and objects that she has acquired from travels over time.
연구: The first stages consisted of meetings and site visits to comprehend the owner lifestyle and requirements. The client brief gave the vision of creating a home around European style and cosmopolitan historical homes in Cairo. The most relevant place to this style was the historical palace of princess Aisha Fahmy in Cairo. The client was given pre-concepts and upon approval, Hoda Lasheen Design Studio started the development phase followed by delivering the construction documents and the Bill of Quantities. Hoda Lasheen Design Studio also supervised during the construction phase.
영감: Designed in a beautiful classical European style, this home was inspired by historical palace of princess Aisha Fahmy located by Nile river bank in Cairo. The design had an ambiance that is enriched with the utilization of colorful textiles with various patterns. Classic cornices, silk wall panels, wall paintings and wooden flooring all resulted in an amazing fusion of design that makes that home a museum of art.
프로젝트 기간: The project started in June 2021 and finished in June 2022 in Cairo, Egypt.

The entrance of the apartment was taken from the library at Villa Oasis, a private residence of Yves Saint Laurent in Marrakesh, Morocco. We were mesmerized by the amount of details and the infusion between different cultures in one place.
