Madison 라운지 벤치 소개

매디슨은 성인 3명까지 앉을 수 있도록 디자인된 라운지 벤치이다. 프레임은 독일산 원목 비치(너도밤나무)로 제작되었고 스테인리스 스틸 원통형 지지대가 적용되었으며, 좌면은 고밀도 폼으로 쿠션 처리되어 있다. 장부 이음(모티스 앤 테논) 방식이 견고함을 확보하는 한편, 경사진 다리와 얇은 좌면은 가벼운 인상을 만들어낸다. 시험을 통해 이 벤치가 일상적인 사용 환경에서 최대 300킬로그램까지 지탱함이 확인되었다. 벤치의 크기는 폭 1300mm, 깊이 450mm, 높이 370mm이다. 그 형태는 1950년대 후반의 자동차 디자인을 연상시키면서도 현대적인 인테리어에 잘 어울린다.

고유 특성: This comfortable bench has a good size to sit up to 3 persons, and at the same time it has a light and beautiful design.

생산 기술: Built in solid German Beech wood, with stainless steel cylindrical supports and upholstered with high density foam. The joint system is mortise and tenon, using Italian high end machinery.
디자인 과제: To achieve a visual lightness on the structure, without losing resistance.
연구: The design of the joinery and the angles of the structure were studied and tested carefully so that this piece could withstand daily use and up to 300 kg of weight without breaking. 4 prototypes were built.
영감: Part of the Cosmic collection inspired on the cars around 1959. The angle of the legs resembles a rising rocket, and the upholstered surface seems to float upon four metal cylinders that supports it, providing the illusion of an airplane wing. The collection expresses modernism and the spatial idealism present in the early 60's, with a modern and renovated twist that provides a contrast to the upholstery which makes it suitable in almost any contemporary style.
프로젝트 기간: This project took 10 weeks from the first sketches to the final prototype for mass production, made in the laboratory and prototype design in Mérida, Yucatán, México.
운영 흐름: These lightweight forms provide sufficient strength and size to accommodate up to three adults, sitting without a problem and at the same time it is easy to carry and move.
