Blink 가정용 의료 기기 소개

블링크(Blink)는 활력 징후를 측정하고 기본적인 의학 검사를 수행할 수 있도록 설계된 가정용 의료 기기다. 이 소형 기기는 혈압과 체온을 측정하며, 혈액·소변·타액 검사를 지원한다. 블링크는 데이터를 수집하고 그 결과를 의사에게 전달하는 각 단계를 사용자에게 안내하며, 의사는 이에 대한 피드백을 다시 보낼 수 있다. 사용자 프로필 기능을 통해 여러 가족 구성원이 하나의 기기를 함께 사용할 수 있다. 신뢰할 수 있는 가정 내 측정 데이터는 진단에 도움을 주고, 정기적인 검사에 드는 시간과 비용, 에너지를 줄여준다. 블링크의 크기는 200mm × 130mm × 160mm이다.

고유 특성: Blink was designed to be used at home by patients to measure their vital signs and perform basic medical tests. It guides users through the process of collecting data and reporting it to their physician. It also enables physicians to provide feedback to patients, enhancing the doctor-patient relationship. Blink empowers self-care, encouraging users to be more proactive with their health. By producing reliable
data, it also enhances the diagnosing process and saves time, money and energy.

디자인 과제: One of the design challenges was to determine the product’s core elements and to organize them in the most accessible and compact way. Hygiene, guidance, and communication were the main considerations. The device also had to be suitable for home use and guide the user through each stage of use.
연구: My original impetus for the idea was to empower the user to be more proactive about his health rather than being reactive. In order to increase the quality of healthcare, I tried to find alternative solutions for better and healthier communication between the patient and the physician. I have visited biochemical labs of hospitals to decide the best vitals for home tests. I had a chance to speak with physicians and biochemists and discuss my project aim. After the design process, I did interviews and user testing with end-users for seamless user experience.
영감: Blink is a smart monitoring device that shifts the experience of performing medical tests from long lines and long waits in hospitals to a simple and unobtrusive task undertaken in the comfort and convenience of home. In the current healthcare system, a great deal of time, energy and money is expended to receive detailed health information. Blink aims to change that.
프로젝트 기간: The project started in February 2016 in Ankara and finished in June 2016, was exhibited in Science at Home Exhibition in Ankara and Turkey Design Week Exhibition in Istanbul.
운영 흐름: Through its straightforward, compact design, Blink measures blood pressure, body temperature and can be used to perform blood, urine and saliva tests. With the easy-to-use interface and the ability to set up profiles, multiple family members can use the same device. It is simple, userfriendly, multifunctional and hygienic.
