'고 트레이닝 인스티튜션(Go Training Institution)'은 중국의 보드게임인 바둑을 가르치는 학원을 위해 제작된 비주얼 아이덴티티 프로젝트이다. 이 아이덴티티는 바둑 문화에 담긴 균형이라는 시각적 개념에서 착안한 양각과 음각의 형태를 활용한다. 전통적인 수묵 붓 기법의 선묘가 바둑을 두는 손짓과 결합되었다. 전통적 요소는 어린이에게 어울리도록 현대적이고 젊은 감각의 형태와 어우러진다. 인쇄물로는 명함, 편지지, 교육용 카드가 있으며 디지털 인쇄와 레이저 각인 기법으로 제작되었다. 그 의도는 중국 문화를 시각적으로 알리는 데 있다.

고유 특성: This is branding design for Eastart which is a training institution of Chinese Go.Designers did visual identity system for it to make promotion of the Chinese traditional culture and establish links between kids who are interested in Go and this intellectual culture. Besides, the combination of traditional elements and contemporary young elements is also a highlight point.

영감: 1.The culture of Chinese Go is similar with Yinyang. That reminds designers of Shigeo Fukuda who is best at positive and negative shapes.
2.The gesture of playing Go is relevant to that of Buddhism which is always showed with Baimiao, a kind of Chinese art with line drawing in traditional ink and brush style. Therefore, the two elements were combined.
프로젝트 기간: The project started in March 2019 in Taiyuan and finished in July 2019, and the inaugural ceremony was in 1st, July.
운영 흐름: The institution is a good place to see the achievement and feel the atmosphere.
