About Lost Species Icones Educationis

Tres imagines informativae fundamentum praebent ad argumentum Effectus Lazari introducendum. Continent "Sex Maiores Exstinctiones Multitudinis", "Vigilia Mortis Specierum", necnon imaginem informativam de "Plantis Filicinis Localibus et Plantis Florentibus" (secundum Rote Liste, 2018). Effectus Lazari nititur themate Effectus Lazari, sicut a paleontologo David Jablonski appellatum est. Hoc pertinet ad inopinatam reinventionem (casu, per expeditionem vel per incepta translationis) formae vitae antea amissae aut exstinctae habitae.

Design Challenge
The hardest part was it to visually compress the complex topic informations of extinction from the anthropological, biological and paleontological side into an understandable graphic. The infographics are a part of the Lazarus Effect-Campaign, special attention is paid to the complementary interaction.
The subject deals with the death and (mass) extinction. The black and white style in detail and the rich contrasted illustrations are the best way of visualization and communication for this serious topic.
Research
Research with anthropological, biological and paleontological literature, as well as support of various natural history museums.
The design is rich in detail. They are drawn as vector graphics in black and white and thus fits in well with most of the musee's scenographic installations.

The graphics are structured in such a way that the viewer can discover more and more. All thre infographics are in a large-format and understandable for everyone. The Topics are compressed and build on on each other.
Inspiration
To educate about the extinction history and to promote the idea of sustainability among the general public, with emphases that extinction can be reversed, and to raise awareness of positive and negative human in uences on Nature. They are a part of the LazarusEffect campaign.
Project Duration
The project startet in may 2020
Operation Flow
The information graphics have been developed to accompany and introduce the Lazarus Effect campaign.
