About Mountains Schreifdësch

Mountains ass en Éiereset aus Ëlmenholz, bestoend aus engem Schreifdësch an engem Stull. D'Form baséiert op der traditioneller chinesescher Table mat agelooss Been an no baussen gebéite Kanten. Déi opgeriicht Enden vum Dëschblat reduzéieren d'Chance, datt Saachen beim Schreiwen oder Molen eroffalen. Déi vireg Kant huet eng liicht Schréi, déi eng bequem Aarbechtshaltung ënnerstëtzt. Ënnert dem Dësch ass e Fach fir d'Opbewahrung integréiert. De gebéite Réck vum Stull erënnert un d'Bierger aus der chinesescher Landschaftsmoolerei, an de Sëtz ass mat engem Këssen ausgestatt. D'Dëschblat gëtt vun Hand zesummegesat, während déi aner Deeler mat computergesteierter Fräisung geformt ginn.

Unique Properties
In the design of this writing desk, it integrates the traditional book case shape, and the mild elm creates a unique hollow feeling. It has both classical charm and modern simplicity and modesty. Applying Chinese elements to minimalism is a bold attempt. The book case design is exquisite and natural, which not only has charm, but also meets the functional needs of furniture.
Dimensions & Packaging
1600mm x 800mm x 780mm, 650mm x 600mm x 450mm, The book case generally adopts the application of modern numerical control technology and realizes the shape through wood milling and carving machine. The "mountain shaped" arc back part is manually shaped by craftsmen; The wooden fillet is polished and formed by machine, and the desktop adopts the traditional Chinese "door panel" splicing technology, which is hand spliced to complete the overall production process of the book case.

Production Technology
The manufacturing process used modern CNC technology, solidworks software design, and CNC milling machine to achieve the form, some special forms are still made by traditional hand, the metal part and the solid wood part both have quite a part made by the artisan own hands, which embodies the spirit of ingenuity, and the importance of traditional craftsmanship. For modern life, it is still a valuable asset, some of the delicate structure still can not be replaced by machines.
Design Challenge
Combining the new Chinese elements with the theme of Chinese painting and the simple style to show the comfortable function and the rationality of the use of elements is the biggest challenge in this design.
Research
The theme of Chinese painting is applied to the design of this set of furniture, and the image of "warped" in traditional Chinese furniture and the element of "Shan Xing" in landscape painting are applied to the whole set of books, desks and chairs. The ergonomic design of calligraphy plans is optimized so that users can have a positive user experience when using them. The whole set of furniture is designed with elm wood, which is the second innovation of new Chinese-style furniture.
Inspiration
The design inspiration comes from the recessed-leg table with everted flanges in traditional Chinese furniture. It is convenient to place items and prevent items from falling during office or writing and painting, which is practical and beautiful. Cushions are added to the seat to make it more comfortable to use. The mountain element in traditional landscape painting is adopted in the design of the back plate of the seat, giving users a peaceful and elegant spiritual feeling.
Project Duration
The design had started in Shenyang in March 2021, completed in Shenyang in June 2021, and displayed in the museum of Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts in Shenyang in June in 2021.
Operation Flow
When a person sits on the seat to work, the front end of the desk has a small slope, which conforms to ergonomics during work and will not feel pressed. Because the two ends of the desk are "warped". When working or writing and painting, it will reduce the chance of items falling, which is practical and beautiful. A compartment is designed under the bookcase, which not only adds practicality but also increases the beauty of the product.
