About The Flow Interieurdesign fir öffentleche Raum

The Flow ass en Interieurdesign fir öffentlech Raum an den gemeinsam genotzte Beräicher vun engem Wunngebai a Taipei City, Taiwan. D'Designthema ass Waasser, dat als Metapher fir Zäit a Bewegung agesat gëtt. Reflektéierend Wänn a keramesch Fliesen mat wäissem Marmor-Effekt erweideren de Raum visuell. Holz an Edelstahl goufen ausgewielt, well béid Materialien recycléierbar sinn.

Production Technology
Ripples-looked stainless corrugated panels on the side wall and ceiling of the elevator hall from the second floor and above are another way to portray moving water.
Design Challenge
Due to the limitation of the building width, the designer utilized big panels of fire-rated glass windows and doors to elongate the space and allow people at reception to look over the driveway for security purposes as well.
Research
Just like water is a recyclable resource, Wood and stainless steel are major materials to carry out the design concept which are also 100% recyclable. With environmental sustainability in mind, the designer chose light-colored walls to save energy consumption by requiring less interior lighting, and chose locally designed and produced tiles on all the floorings and walls to reduce the carbon footprint.
Inspiration
The residential building located adjacent to the road was called Imperial Envoy Avenue where the US Ambassador's residence and American Embassy were located. The rhythm of t public facilities space design is based on the idea of water. As the metaphor of time and traffic creates the imagery of transparency and reflection of flow movement.
Project Duration
The project is in Taipei City, Taiwan.
Operation Flow
Having reflective finished walls in the social area visually widened the space. White marble effect ceramic wall tiles at the reception, basement transition zone, and elevator hall also give some sense of extension.
