Design Challenge: The house is located in Happy Valley, a place rich in historical value in Hong Kong. In the same place and in the same house, several generations live together. New and old cultures gather in the same space." Mahjong” table, an enduring game that adds vitality and communication, is made to the nostalgic space to connect the generations.
Research: Interior design research aims to explore how design can improve the functionality, aesthetics and comfort of a space while meeting the needs of its occupants. Designers, users and owners have in-depth conversations to understand individual requirements and expectations. Test the feasibility of different design solutions through 3D software simulation and actual operation. The designed space provides a place to gather, resulting in changes in residents’ behavioral patterns and communication, and increased guest satisfaction.
