About Tranquil Zen Wunnhausinnenarchitektur

Tranquil Zen ass eng Wunnhausinnenarchitektur, déi am Hsinchu County, Taiwan, realiséiert gouf. Den Layout enthält e Wunn- an Iessberäich, zwee Schlofzëmmeren an e Multifunktiounsraum, deen fir Meditatioun a Kult genotzt gëtt. Eng Trennwand hannert der Fernsee-Wand gouf ewechgeholl, fir d'Aussiicht, d'Belëftung an d'Raumgefill ze verbesseren. D'Materialien enthalen fäerdege Beton, echt Zeder, Wandstruktur aus Diatomeenerd a Holzbeloen. Wobelaux-Rullosverdonkelen kontrolléieren d'Beschattung a suergen zousätzlech fir Isolatioun. D'Interieur verbënnt japanesche Zen-Stil mat Minimalismus, fir e roueg an einfacht Doheem ze schafen.

Unique Properties
As this project is situated near Hsinchu Highspeed Rail Station, opposite a green park, the design team would like to bring the greenery into the interior of Japanese styling for a relaxing and meditative residence marrying Japanese Zen style and modernism with pure and humble materials giving rise to a serene and delicate spatial expression.
Dimensions & Packaging
As the public domain has access to ample greenery view and sunlight, the design team adopted the stylish and functional honeycomb curtain with controllable shading surface and effective insulation effect. Production Technology
As the overall interior is of minimalist styling, the spatial layout comprises of the living room dining area, 2 bedrooms, and a meditative multi-functional room as a place of reflection, and of Buddhist worship, for the client. The design team designated the design theme of Japanese Zen Styling with Buddhist influence in making this residence a stress-relieving and mind-purifying alcove with minimal and humble design.
Design Challenge
As the dining area features genuine cedar in the ceiling that echos with timber flooring, it allows the cedar aroma drawing out the natural timber aroma. During construction, cedar ceiling panels need to be installed separately before drilling for wiring, therefore it left little room for error for the on-site craftsmen, however, after construction completion, it was the most rewarding creative experience.
Research
From the entrance, the interior presented a series of layered vista of the various interior spaces complemented by decorative elements echoing with the Japanese Zen-Style aesthetic influences. While the public domain featured a warm Nordic-influenced materiality, the bedrooms were of simple timber and humble and elegant design theme, with walk-in closet, coupled with complete storage functions, for creating a refreshing and stress-free space.
Inspiration
With the sense of serene and refined Zen style, the exquisite design of humble and simple nature was created to satisfy functional needs with natural materials amongst reserved timber-color tones in making this residence a true harbor of warmth and meditation. The Japanese styling elements permeated throughout the interior from the delicate tiles, and timber-grille shoe cabinet and the view-piece wall articulating the tranquil beauty of Japanese Zen Style.
Project Duration
The project was finished in October, 2018 in Hsinchu County, Taiwan.
Operation Flow
With the partition layout revised, the circulation was able to enjoy the beauty of window views, with minimal decoration befitting to the Japanese Zen Style intended. The kitchen and dining area was of open plan inheriting the serene and exquisite materiality of finished concrete, and becoming a place for gathering of families and friends while the masterbedroom inherited the design vocabulary of the public domain by echoing its minimalist styling.
