boattiverga studio was founded in 2010 by Manuela Verga and Paolo Boatti after a collaboration with Marcio Kogan, a world-famous Brazilian architect.
Could you please tell us more about your art and design background? What made you become an artist/designer? Have you always wanted to be a designer?
We study architecture and we always loved art and design
Can you tell us more about your company / design studio?
boattiverga studio was founded in 2010 by Manuela Verga and Paolo Boatti after a collaboration
with Marcio Kogan, a world-famous Brazilian architect. The hybridisation between restyled objects and new materials, the contamination of their traditional usage with a new, contemporary perspective, and clean, sharp shapes are the keystone of all boattiverga projects.
What is "design" for you?
Design is creativity, research and happiness but also practicality and functionality

Everyday objects

Mezzadro by Achille e Piergiacomo Castiglioni, inspirational leaders of the most authentic Italian design

We never designed for a company

Wood and glass

In the summer time!

Good proportions

Aesthetics and functionality
From your point of view, what are the responsibilities of a designer for society and environment?
Recycling and reinterpretation are the key concepts that give birth to an exclusive design item
When was your last exhibition and where was it? And when do you want to hold your next exhibition?
Prostheses and Innesti presented at the London Design Festival 2012 at the Gallery Fumi in London and Porto Cervo. The next exhibition will be in autumn in New York.
Where do you live? Do you feel the cultural heritage of your country affects your designs? What are the pros and cons during designing as a result of living in your country?
We live in Italy and we are proud to be influenced by historical and modern beauty
How do you work with companies?
We never worked with companies, but we would like to star a collaboration.
