Production Technology
The exterior integrates locally sourced stone cladding and recycled plastic composites with high UV resistance. Triple-glazed low-E units optimize thermal insulation. Interior realization features a contrast of walnut veneer and honed natural stone for thermal mass, paired with high rub count boucle fabrics for acoustic comfort. The assembly focuses on a sustainable, low impact footprint, blending rugged alpine textures with precise, vibrant Pop Art inspired material finishes.
Design Challenge
The primary challenge was harmonizing two distinct user flows vibrant daily skiers and private hotel guests within a compact 30 room structure. Separating public access from luxury suites while maintaining thermal efficiency in extreme winter conditions was critical. Additionally, integrating Pop Art aesthetics into a serene alpine landscape required a delicate balance. We used natural walnut and stone as a grounding base to allow bold artistic elements to coexist with the mountain's raw tranquility.
Research
Research explores dual use hospitality in extreme climates, balancing high traffic day use with the seclusion of a boutique hotel. Through flow simulations, the study decouples guest types for operational efficiency. It investigated material selections that synergize the mountain hotel identity with the vibrant aesthetics of the Pop Art movement. Results prove that day use functionality and luxury tranquility coexist through intelligent spatial zoning and expressive, tactile palettes.
Inspiration
Das Apres finds its inspiration in the seamless fusion of mountain lodge traditions and contemporary luxury. Our mission is to redefine the "apres-ski" culture by blending the raw, volcanic textures of Mount Erciyes with sophisticated, modern comfort.

Inspired by the dynamic energy of the slopes and the serenity of snow-capped peaks, the design aims to offer an immersive winter experience.
Project Duration
The project consists of eighteen uniquely designed standard rooms, four suites, and five chalet units. The program includes a 320 sqm spa facility, two restaurants, clearly separated day use and accommodation areas, a designated smoking lounge, a lobby, and a contemporary ski room.

Phase I, completed in 2022, comprised the construction and commissioning of the chalet units, restaurant, and ski room. Phase II is planned for completion in 2027 and will complete the remaining program components.
Operation Flow
Das Apres optimizes flow via a dual circulation system. To ensure comfort during harsh winters, two distinct entrances separate day-trip skiers from the 30 room boutique hotel guests. The public lobby houses an integrated ski room, providing immediate and direct access to the slopes. This separation eliminates congestion and preserves a tranquil hotel atmosphere. This layout ensures that high-energy mountain activity and serene luxury hospitality coexist harmoniously through a frictionless user journey.
