About Yamadera Viešbučio siuitas

Yamadera – tai viešbučio siuitas, esantis Jiaoxi mieste, Taivane, pavadintas kalnų šventyklos Yamagatos prefektūroje, Japonijoje, vardu. Siuito plotas – 30 kvadratinių metrų, jis suskirstytas sluoksniuotais arkų elementais į tris zonas: prieškambarį, poilsio zoną ir maudymosi zoną. Monotoniškos medžiagos ir tamsūs, prislopinti tonai kuria ramią ir uždarą atmosferą. Miegamosios zonos sienų dangoje įmaišyta diatomito žemių, reguliuojančių drėgmę aplink karšto šaltinio vonią. Maudymosi zonoje naudoti vandeniui atsparūs mineraliniai dažai. Kompaktiškas išplanavimas atsižvelgia į ribotą grindų plotą.

Design Challenge
With the size limitation of the room (30 sqm.), how to create an isolate hot spring area and yet guest can also feel like being in wide open nature. A room can purify the mind physically and psychologically.
Research
The coherency to interpreted Japanese historical and geographic background into design details are the primary task of designing this suite. For example, we embed the abstract of pilgrimage path (In order to reach to the Mountain Temple in Yamagata Japan, people need to climb up 1015 steps along the mountain path) on the headboard, by flipping through the folding fabric steps on headboard, guest virtually climb up to their mountain temple in heart. We use shimmering thread to embroider the image of Mountain Temple at the end of path, so it will be only visible when you are up and closed to the top. Shimmering embroidery hints the temple never dimmed.
Inspiration
Yamadera meaning Mountain Temple in Japanese. As the heart of Hotel Yamagata Kaku Jiaoxi Taiwan, the exclusive Yamadera suite was named after the symbolic Mountain Temple in Yamagata Japan to deliver the main philosophy of the hotel(sister hotel of Yamagata Prefecture).
