Twiny – tai daugiafunkcė sofa, sukurta vaikams namuose, ikimokyklinėse įstaigose ir vaikų dienos priežiūros centruose. Sofa atrodo kaip žaisminga sėdynė ir slepia reguliuojamą stalą su daiktų laikymo vieta. Atskyrus du sofos modulius, atsiveria paslėptas stalas. Pasukus viršutinę stalo dalį, keičiasi jo aukštis ir atsidaro daiktų laikymo skyrius. Modulines dalis galima išdėstyti skirtingais būdais žaidimui, mokymuisi ir poilsiui. Apmušalai pagaminti iš perdirbto poliesterio. Stalas pagamintas iš pakartotinai panaudotų medžio drožlių ir perdirbto plastiko.

- The creative challenge involved integrating versatile features, such as hidden table and storage, without compromising user experience and aesthetics. Balancing functionality with a playful design for children was essential, as well as ensuring safety and ease of use.
- Research
- The research aimed to develop multifunctional, space-saving children's furniture that promotes versatility, safety, and sustainability. Using a mixed-methods approach, data was collected through interviews and home observations. The findings underscored the need for adaptable, safe, and easy to maintain furniture with integrated storage. Insights emphasized the value of multifunctional furniture in fostering creativity and independence. This research culminated in the creation of Twiny furniture, a versatile, modular design that maintains organized and clutter-free spaces.
- Inspiration
- Twiny multifunctional sofa was inspired by the increasing need for adaptable furniture in small living spaces, particularly for families with children. Observing how limited space can restrict children's ability to explore and engage in creative play, I aimed to design a piece that not only maximizes space but also encourages independence and imagination. My motivation stemmed from the desire to create a functional, safe, and easy to maintain solution that meets the needs of modern families.
- Project Duration
- The Project started in Cologne in May 2024 and was completed in Cologne in August 2024.
- Operation Flow
- Twiny multifunctional furniture is designed for easy interaction and transformation, making it perfect for children. To reveal the hidden table, simply separate the two sofa units. By turning the top part of the table, children can adjust its height and access the storage compartment. The modular pieces can be reconfigured into different layouts to suit various activities, fostering creativity and independence.
