About Van Gogh's Gladioli Kaka
Ko te Gladioli a Van Gogh he kaka i mahia-a-ringatia, i whakaawetia e tētahi peita puawai nā Vincent van Gogh. Ka hangaia te kaka mai i te koura 18 karati, ā, kua whakanohoia ki roto ngā kōhatu mōmona taketake, tae atu ki te citrine mārama, te ruby me te morganite. Ka whakaaturia te rerenga kē o ngā puawai mā ngā rangi me ngā tae rerekē o ngā kōhatu. Ko ngā whakairo mārire i roto i te koura e tohu ana i te uaua matua me ngā uaua o ngā rau. Ka whai ngā ahua o waho i te kōrerorere me te taurite e kitea ana i te taiao. He māmā, he pai anō hoki te mau i te taonga nei.

- Handmade necklace made with the best raw material : gold 18k and natural gemstones.. The diversity of the flowers is represented in the gemstones’ different hues and colors. Delicate carvings in the gold represent the leaves’ midrib and veins. Nature’s asymmetry and balance can be seen in the jewels’ delicate contours making it both bold and striking to the human eye.

Gold 18K; Light Citrine 19,90CT; Ruby 3,90CT; Morganite 10,65CT. - Design Challenge
- This is a jewel full of details: lines that scratch the metal, imitating the grooves of the leaves. There are galleries all over the necklace to hide the links that give IT a trim. But the big challenges were controlling the colors (a rare combination of salmon pink, intense red and light yellow) and balancing such an asymmetrical design, where harmony and beauty are perceived even without symmetry.
- Research
- After extensive research on Van Gogh's paintings (there are almost 2000 works), the painting was chosen that would be the inspiration for the design. Then research was carried out on the painted tree (understanding of what the painter saw to be inspired). Realized the ideal design of the piece and choice of the ideal materials for execution.
