About Intelligent Openings Pūnaha Matapihi
Ka whakamāramahia anōtia e Intelligent Openings ngā matapihi me ngā tatau hei pūnaha hoahoanga whakauru, kaua ko ngā hua motuhake noa iho. He mea hoahoa mō ngā whare noho papai, ka honoa e ia ngā āhua tino angiangi, ngā puare whānui, me te whakahaere mōhio hei waihanga i tētahi atanga tuitui i waenga i ngā taiao o roto me o waho. Mā te whakatika i ngā wero pērā i te huarere kino, te whakatutukitanga pūngao, me te whaihuatanga, ka whakataurite te pūnaha i te tuwheratanga me te whakamarumaru. Ka whakaatuhia e ia he otinga taea te whakarahi mō te hoahoanga whare noho o āpōpō, e whakapiki ai te hangarau i te wheako ā-mokowā me te noho o ia rā.

About the A' Design Award Hiriwa
Ko Intelligent Openings Pūnaha Matapihi te toa o te A' Design Award Hiriwa, he whakaaetanga tino whai mana e hoatu ana ki ngā hoahoa taumata teitei rawa, ātaahua me te whakamīharo. Ko ngā toa Hiriwa he mahi tino kanapa, tino auaha e whakaatu ana i te mātanga, te pūmanawa me te mōhio hōhonu o ā rātou kaihoahoa. E tūmanakohia ana ko Intelligent Openings Pūnaha Matapihi he mahi whakamīharo, he tauira, he tino ngaio, he auaha hōhonu. Ko tēnei hoahoa i toa i te Hiriwa he hanganga rongonui, whakamīharotia e whai wāhi ana ki te whakawhānui i ngā rohe o te toi, te pūtaiao, te hoahoa me te hangarau. Ko Intelligent Openings Pūnaha Matapihi he mahi e hae ana te tini, e whakaara ana i ngā hiahia, e kawe mai ana i ngā kare-ā-roto pai, ā, e whakaoho ana i te mīharo.
Behind the Design
Press Kit
Credits, team members and technical details provided by the designer.
- Unique Properties
- From Product to System,
A whole house intelligent motorized window and door system for high end villas, integrating six product types into a unified architectural opening system with centralized control.
Boundary less and High Performance,
With concealed frames and large span openings, the system combines spatial openness with advanced performance, including environmental control, structural stability, and intelligent integration. - Dimensions & Packaging
- Performance (ISO and EN Standards)
Water tightness: Class E750
Air tightness: Class 4
Thermal performance: Uw less than 1.4 W per square meter Kelvin
Acoustic performance: Rw greater than 35 decibels
Ensures energy efficiency, comfort, and environmental control.
Structural Capacity
Panel width up to 2000 to 3000 mm. Reinforced profiles and concealed drainage system withstand extreme weather conditions, including typhoon level wind speeds of 32 to 36 meters per second. - Tags
- Intelligent electric windows and doors, ultra-thin windows, fully concealed door frames, safe and barrier-free sliding doors
- Production Technology
- Structural Engineering Strategy,
Frameless corner systems and fully concealed frames integrate openings into the building structure, minimizing visual boundaries while maintaining structural integrity.
Integrated Performance System,
Multi track linkage, multi layer sealing, and concealed drainage are combined with high-strength profiles and Low Emissivity glazing to ensure stability, durability, and environmental performance at large scales. - Design Challenge
- Conflict Between Openness and Performance,
The main challenge was achieving large span transparency while maintaining airtightness, structural stability, and environmental resistance within an ultra slim system.
Integrated Engineering Solution,
Through iterative prototyping and system integration of structure, sealing, drainage, and smart control, the project resolves the contradiction between openness and performance. - Research
- System Transformation,
The project explores the shift from individual window products to integrated architectural systems through performance analysis, user behavior study, and environmental simulation.
Impact and Application,
It enhances spatial continuity, safety, and energy efficiency, providing a scalable solution for future residential architecture under changing climate conditions. - Inspiration
- Core Idea,
Windows and doors are no longer components, but a responsive architectural interface that balances openness and protection.
Boundary less Living Concept,
Dissolving indoor outdoor boundaries through ultra slim profiles and large openings, allowing light, air, and seasonal changes to shape everyday living.
Six Challenges, Scenario Based Solutions,
a. Sudden weather: automated response through environmental sensing
b. Limited openness: large span openings for light and airflow
c. Heavy panels: assisted operation through motorization
d. Thermal and acoustic discomfort: high performance envelope
e. Security: integrated smart protection system
f. Fragmented control: unified digital management - Project Duration
- Intelligent Openings was launched in Shanghai, China in April 2025 and was completed in Shanghai, China in August 2025.
- Operation Flow
- Intuitive Control Experience,
Users can operate the system through mobile devices, wall panels, or preset automation scenes, enabling simple and flexible interaction.
Adaptive Environmental Response,
The system automatically adjusts opening and closing based on wind and rain conditions, while security modes allow one-step control of all openings. - Patents
