About Coastline Fungsi Utamo: Meja
Teks Buku: Coastline adolah meja nan diinspirasi dari naiaknyo permukaan lauik nan disababkan dek pamanasan global. Bagian ateh meja dibuek dari akrilik, nan juo dikenal jo namo PMMA, sarato dibantuak jo pamanasan suhu tinggi untuak mancaritokan aia lauik nan janiah. Struktur panyangga dibuek dari kayu michelia compressa jo pinus, dan kayu tu malambangkan tinggi gunuang. Kayu keras dipiliah supayo struktur ndak barubah bantuak salamo proses pamanasan. Pinggia nan indak rato mangana-ngana ka garih pantai nan taerosi dek lauik, dan kombinasi bahan ko mambuek cahayo bisa taruih tembuih sacaro balapih-lapih. Meja ko baukuran 350 mm lebar, 650 mm dalam, jo 500 mm tinggi.

- Unique Properties
- The clearness of the sea is represented by liquid acrylic, and the height of the mountain is mainly wood, creating a combination of different materials that echoes the light of the layers.
- Dimensions & Packaging
- Width 350 mm x Depth 650 mm x Height 500 mm

- Production Technology
- The table top is mainly made of PMMA, and the table is mainly made of michelia compressa and Pine.
- Design Challenge
- Liquid acrylic material is selected as the table top. Liquid acrylic shaping requires high-temperature heating. Therefore, hard wood is selected so that it will not deform during heating.
Considering the above, in the end, the desktop wood is chosen to use the hard texture Michelia compressa wood.
Liquid acrylic color grading is also one of the big challenges. It takes a lot of time for each test to get the best color and transmittance. - Inspiration
- Taking the rising sea level caused by global warming as the starting point, the coastline was eroded by the seawater and showed an uneven appearance, making the table more layered.
- Project Duration
- The project started in January 2017 in Taiwan. And finished in June 2017 in Taiwan. And was exhibited in Songshan Cultural and Creative Park in June 2017. For the second time in Taipei Pavilion of fashion in November 2019.
- Operation Flow
- This is a table with good light transmission and beauty.
