കോർട്ട്‌യാർഡ് എന്നത് ചൈനയിലെ ഷെൻയാങ് നഗരമധ്യത്തിലുള്ള ഒരു റെസിഡൻഷ്യൽ പദ്ധതിയുടെ ലോബിക്കും ഫോയറിനും വേണ്ടി രൂപകൽപ്പന ചെയ്ത ഒരു പൊതു ഇടമാണ്. 600 ചതുരശ്ര മീറ്റർ വിസ്തൃതിയുള്ള ഈ സ്ഥലം താമസക്കാർ വീട്ടിലേക്ക് പോകുന്ന വഴിയിലെ പ്രധാന പാതയായി രൂപപ്പെടുന്നു. പരമ്പരാഗത ചൈനീസ് വാസ്തുവിദ്യയിലെ "മൂന്ന്-കവാട" ഭവന സങ്കൽപ്പത്തെ അടിസ്ഥാനമാക്കിയാണ് രൂപകൽപ്പനാ ആശയം വികസിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്, ഇത് ഒരു പുറംമുറ്റം, ഒരു അകത്തെ അങ്കണം, ഒരു അകത്തെ ഭവനം എന്നിങ്ങനെ ക്രമീകരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
