About Good Boy Good Girl റാട്ടൻ ശിൽപം
ഗുഡ് ബോയ് ഗുഡ് ഗേൾ എന്നത് ഒരു കുട്ടിയുടെ രൂപം ചിത്രീകരിക്കുന്ന ഒരു ജോടി റാട്ടൻ ശിൽപങ്ങളാണ്. ഓരോ ശിൽപവും ഏകദേശം 1.4 മീറ്റർ ഉയരമുള്ളതും ലോഹ ഘടനയ്ക്ക് മുകളിൽ നെയ്ത റാട്ടൻ കൊണ്ട് നിർമ്മിച്ചതുമാണ്. സിംഗപ്പൂരിൽ പല മാതാപിതാക്കളും ശാരീരിക ശിക്ഷയ്ക്കായി ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്ന ഒരു ഉപകരണമായ ചൂരൽ, കുട്ടിയുടെ സ്വഭാവരൂപീകരണത്തിന് സഹായകമാകുമെന്ന വിശ്വാസത്തെ ഈ കൃതി പരാമർശിക്കുന്നു. അതിവേഗം മാറുന്ന ഒരു ചുറ്റുപാടിൽ കുട്ടികളുടെ മേലുള്ള സാമൂഹിക ശക്തികളുടെ ചലനരഹിതമായ പിടിയാണ് ഈ ശിൽപങ്ങൾ പ്രകടിപ്പിക്കുന്നത്. ശരീരത്തിന്റെയും മനസ്സിന്റെയും കാഠിന്യം പ്രകടിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിനാണ് റാട്ടൻ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തത്.
