About Chifuyu ലിവിംഗ് സെന്റർ ടേബിൾ
ചിഫുയു എന്നത് ലിവിംഗ് റൂമുകൾക്കായി രൂപകൽപ്പന ചെയ്ത ഒരു താഴ്ന്ന സെന്റർ ടേബിളാണ്. വായുവിൽ തൂങ്ങിനിൽക്കുന്ന രണ്ട് ലെതർ കഷണങ്ങളുടെ ചിത്രത്തിൽ നിന്നാണ് ഈ രൂപത്തിന് പ്രചോദനം ലഭിച്ചത്. വളഞ്ഞ ഒരൊറ്റ ലെതർ കഷണം മേശയുടെ ഉപരിതലം രൂപപ്പെടുത്തുകയും ഒഴുകിനടക്കുന്ന ഒരു അനുഭവം സൃഷ്ടിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു. സുഷിരങ്ങളുള്ള ലോഹം ഈ വളവിനെ താങ്ങിനിർത്തുകയും സങ്കീർണ്ണമായ ത്രിമാന രൂപകൽപ്പന സാധ്യമാക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. മേശയ്ക്ക് 950 മില്ലിമീറ്റർ വീതിയും 950 മില്ലിമീറ്റർ ആഴവും 280 മില്ലിമീറ്റർ ഉയരവുമുണ്ട്. ലഘുവായതും തൂങ്ങിനിൽക്കുന്നതുമായ ഈ രൂപഭാവം ദൈനംദിന ഇന്റീരിയറുകൾക്ക് അസാധാരണമായ ഒരു സ്പർശം നൽകാൻ ഉദ്ദേശിച്ചുള്ളതാണ്.

- Production Technology
- The shaping of the tertiary surface proved extremely difficult. It was achieved by employing perforated metal.
- Design Challenge
- Expressing the shape of a cubic surface and realising it while utilising the skills of engineers proved extremely difficult. Through repeated discussions, we continued to seek the correct solution until completion.
- Inspiration
- While pondering how to create a new table, an image came to mind of two pieces of leather suspended in mid-air.
I contemplated how to realise this vision, and arrived at this form. - Project Duration
- The project started in Apr. 2020 in Tokyo and finished in Jan. 2021 in Tokyo, and was exhibited in Salone del Mobile in June 2022.
