About Emotions Poster

Apakah rupa emosi dalam dunia visual? Siri poster bernama Emosi ini mewakili empat jenis emosi asas yang berbeza dalam bentuk visual. Empat emosi tersebut ialah Kegembiraan, Kemarahan, Kesedihan, dan Ketakutan. Pereka bentuk menggunakan bahasa visual kontemporari termasuk ilustrasi abstrak, warna terang dan tipografi dinamik untuk menunjukkan hubungan antara emosi dan ekspresi muka. Dalam sistem reka bentuk ini, setiap bahasa visual berfungsi sebagai reka bentuk individu dengan sendirinya. Pada masa yang sama, semua reka bentuk poster berfungsi sebagai satu sistem.

Unique Properties: Emotions is a series of posters that represent four different types of basic emotions - Joy, Anger, Sadness, and Fear. The posters also show the connection between emotions and facial expressions in visual form. The design was created in its own grid with abstract illustrations, vibrant colors, and dynamic typography. At the same time, each graphic, illustration, and typography also work as individual designs on its own.
Dimensions & Packaging: Each poster application was designed in its unique form depending on the dimension. At the same time, all the poster designs work as a system.

Production Technology: The posters were created and designed with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
Design Challenge: Emotions can be abstract and also representational at the same time. The challenge of the project was how to visualize emotions in playful and contemporary design/illustration styles. The research on the connection between facial expressions and emotions was also a challenge but an interesting subject.
Research: The research of this project was based on information about the subject from the internet.
Inspiration: I was reading a few psychology books recently and a question came to my mind: What would emotions look like in the visual world? So I did the research and created the posters with graphics and illustrations in English and Chinese.
Project Duration: 2021 Los Angeles
Operation Flow: This series of posters were designed for both digital and print applications. The posters can be viewed on screens, prints and OOH, etc.
