About Shazhou Youhuang Taman Budaya

Shazhou Youhuang terletak di Zhangjiagang, di sepanjang sungai Yangtze, bersebelahan dengan kompleks kilang sedia ada. Susun atur baharu ini termasuk kemudahan yang menyediakan perkhidmatan pengeluaran sambil menjadi mercu tanda seni bina. Destinasi pelancongan industri, persekitaran yang santai, berdasarkan gabungan unsur seni bina Jiangnan dan abstraksi seni bina Cina moden. Jalan komersil yang pelbagai, dengan fungsi kebudayaan moden, kemudahan perindustrian yang inovatif, menjadikannya dari segi ekonomi, sosial dan seni bina kemuncak bandar.

Unique Properties: Located 90 minutes away from Shanghai, the site is adjacent to the existing factory complex in Zhangjiagang, along the Yangtze river.
The new plan includes facilities that are serving production while becoming an architectural landmark. An industrial tourism destination, a leisurely environment, based on a combination of Jiangnan architecture elements and the modern Chinese abstractions. A various commercial street, with modern cultural functions, innovative industrial facilities, making it economically, socially and architecturally the highlight of the city.

Design Challenge: The project manifests the noble vision of "Shazhou Youhuang" as representative of the culture of yellow rice wine in Jiangnan to become a first-class brand, leading the industry with an architectural benchmark, otherwise historically known for sprawling warehouses and disconnected buildings strewn across the landscape.
From the abstraction of traditional architectural language and elements, the project reflects the memory of the iconic walls inspired by the historic hui style houses, water features and landscape elements, lane dimensions, signature colors of exterior facades and roofing details, openings, and rhythms…all reminiscent of the Jiangnan old town characteristics.
Inspiration: The biggest design inspiration was to demonstrate and protect the heritage of Chinese yellow rice wine while expressing the history, culture, and production techniques of the Su tradition. The project, a blend of traditional and abstract modern architectural features with distinct characteristics of yellow rice wine, is now a cultural, scenic spot, bringing generations of people together. A cultural experience, through a contemporary transition of the traditional experience, rich with heritage and poetic nostalgia.
