About Meduse Lampa Skulturali
Meduse hija lampa skulturali ispirata mill-ħabitats tal-baħar. Kull biċċa tgħaqqad iċ-ċeramika Raku ma' tentakli tal-ħġieġ tan-Murano minfuħ. Il-lampa hija adattata għall-użu ta' ġewwa u ta' barra u toħloq effetti ta' dawl u dell fuq il-ħitan qrib. Id-dawl LED b'ħafna kuluri jista' jiġi aġġustat b'kontroll mill-bogħod. Il-korp taċ-ċeramika jiġi mmudellat f'tafal reżistenti għan-nar, imnixxef, moħmi, iżjeġġen u mbagħad moħmi mill-ġdid f'temperatura ta' 930 grad Celsius, u wara jitneħħa mill-forn filwaqt li jkun għadu jaħraq. Ix-xokk termiku li jirriżulta joħloq wiċċ imċappas b'kisriet fini b'riflessjonijiet metalliċi u iridexxenti.

- Production Technology
- After the modelling with refractory clay, I begin a deconstruction process of the traditional shape, a 20 day long drying process begins. I go on with the first cooking at 950 degrees celsius, the glazing process and the second cooking into a Raku oven at 930 degrees celsius. The object is removed still white-hot from the oven. Arrangement of the Led lighting system and finally the insertion of the Murano blown glass tentacles.
- Design Challenge
- Take the pieces out of the oven at 940 degrees celsius and quickly manage the thermal shock in three minutes.
The integration of the glass tentacles on the ceramic base. - Research
- The goal is to create lamps that integrate Art and Design. The method is transversal by integrating two techniques ceramics with Murano glass; Through the Deconstruction of art, a process of liberation from the traditional historical form begins to give way to a new syncretic language.
