About Osia Villa Disinn Intern Residenzjali

Villa Osia hija residenza privata mibnija fuq lott ta' 2800 metru kwadru li tħares fuq għelieqi tar-ross. Id-disinn jgħaqqad iż-żoni ta' ġewwa ma' dawk ta' barra, u jħallel il-limitu bejn il-kenn u l-pajsaġġ. Żewġ terrazzi jimmarkaw il-villa: terrazza tal-lvant imħejjija għall-kolazzjon u terrazza tal-punent fit-tieni livell użata għal laqgħat filgħaxija. Żona ta' postijiet bil-pergola fil-livell rikreattiv hija sostnuta mill-grilja ta' travi eżistenti u tinkwadra veduti tax-xemx nieżla. Il-materjali nkisbu lokalment, u l-pavimentar juża biċċiet ta' granit skartat.

Unique Properties: A private property overlooking paddy farms spread over 28,000 Sqft of land. The design intends to marry the inside and outside blurring the boundaries of a sheltered home.

Production Technology: The materials were sourced locally. The entire pavement for the villa was done in waste granite pieces.
Design Challenge: The challenge was to execute the pergola on first floor which was eventually supported by existing beam grid.
Research: The site location was a major inspiration for carving out spaces into the built structure. The pergola seating on the recreational floor was carved to create a sundowner spot.
Inspiration: The wide views of setting sun over the paddy fields is the main inspiration to form the private deck on the entertainment floor with a perfect balance of indoor and outdoor spaces.
Project Duration: The project started in Feb 2017 and was completed by March 2019
Operation Flow: The design was made in Mumbai and all drawings sent to site to execute locally with regular interval site visits to check the progress.
