About Parachute Xkaffa tal-Ħajt

Parachute hija xkaffa tal-ħajt magħmula mill-metall f'folji. Meta sezzjoni tkun qed tintuża, il-planka ta' dik is-sezzjoni tinżel u tibqa' mdendla f'postha. Il-planka mdendla żżomm kowt, rivista jew oġġetti simili u ma tħallihomx jaqgħu. Il-wiċċ għandu strixxi kkuluriti separati minn spazji rqaq, u għalhekk l-ixkaffa tfakkar fid-dehra grafika ta' paraxut modern u tista' tinqara wkoll bħala arti tal-ħajt. Parachute tkejjel 790 mm fil-wisa', 30 mm fil-fond u 220 mm fl-għoli. L-isem jgħaqqad flimkien l-ideat tal-protezzjoni u tal-waqgħa.

Production Technology: Parachute was made by sheet metal.
With the colored stripes separated by thin spaces, the graphic design is reminiscent of a modern parachute; this theme is transformed, in a recognisable and aesthetically successful manner, into an original shelf design.
Design Challenge: Yusuke Watanabe designed a new type of wall shelf, looks like Wall Art.

Yusuke Watanabe was worried about color of gradation, Through trial and error we found best ways. looks like Wall Art.
Inspiration: When listening to Coldplay's first album, it suddenly occurred to me to look up the word "Parachute."

It seems that the name "parachute" comes combining the Italian "parare" (to protect) with the French "chute" (to fall).

I thought that was a rather fine name.
I tried to think of devices that protect against falling.
When in use, the plank for the section being used falls, and hangs there.

Project Duration: The project started in April 2017 in Tokyo and finished in October 2018 in Tokyo, and Yusuke Watanabe was exhibited in Salone del Mobile in April 2018.
