About Childhood Disinn Intern Residenzjali
It-Tfulija hija disinn intern residenzjali għal dar tal-familja fil-Belt ta' New Taipei, it-Tajwan. Il-proġett jgħaqqad flimkien żewġ unitajiet residenzjali ġirien f'appartament wieħed b'erba' kmamar tas-sodda, żewġ salons u żewġ kmamar tal-banju. Terrazzo Taljan magħmul bl-idejn u materjali oħra tal-ġebel ifasslu l-faċċati prinċipali, filwaqt li l-għamara tal-injam u d-dekorazzjonijiet joħolqu atmosfera vintage. Il-ħajt ta' wara tal-intrata jkollu appoġġi solidi tal-injam li jaħżnu u juru r-roti. L-armarji jitqiegħdu 'l bogħod mid-dawl naturali, filwaqt li unitajiet baxxi jnaqqsu r-riskju ta' korriment għat-tliet itfal u l-kelb li jgħixu d-dar.

Behind the Design
Press Kit
Credits, team members and technical details provided by the designer.
- Unique Properties
- The back wall of the entryway is made of Italian handmade terrazzo and is equipped with solid wooden supports to store and display the clients bikes. The facade has created a separation between the interior and the outdoor, allowing the user to fix or clean the bikes in the area.
- Dimensions & Packaging
- The 36-ping project is equipped with four bedrooms, two living rooms, and two bathrooms. The original walls from another household on the same floor are used to partition the kitchen and the entryway. At the same time, the facade between the entrance and the living room has allowed the two areas to be independent while creating a storage area that separates the interior and the outdoor.
- Tags
- Terrazzo, vintage, natural lighting, cathedral ceilings, kitchen island, high durability.
- Production Technology
- Italian terrazzo, Italian artistic paints, hardware, tiles, iron, steels, elmwood, white-painted wood, and yarn.
- Design Challenge
- This space is combined with two households. Since the initial walls used to separate the residences cannot be removed, and most circuits are hidden, this project spatial arrangement was challenging.
- Research
- This project is a presold house that combines the space of two households. No partitions are set up aside from bedrooms to give the owner three young sons and a dog a safe, durable, and unrestricted living environment. In addition to the writing desk being fixed on the wall, no furniture is regulated to give more flexibility and transparency to the interior.
- Inspiration
- The clients of the house hoped to live in an environment that brings back the memories of childhood. Unlike the trending Northern European style or industrial style, the designer of this project applied terrazzo and other stone materials to elaborate the primary facades. At the same time, wooden furniture and decorations are placed in the interior to create a vintage-like living environment.
- Project Duration
- The project is finished in July 2020 in New Taipei City, Taiwan.
- Operation Flow
- To ensure the safety of users while creating a neat and tidy environment, the designer placed all the cabinets in areas where natural lightings dont reach. At the same time, all electrical devices can be stored within the hallow-shaped television cabinet hidden behind the walls; a non-towering low cabinet is also set up to decrease possible dangers during walking. The distribution box of the entryway is applied with the same method while being integrated with other cabinet.
