About Interpreting Discomfort Sensiela ta' Pitturi biż-Żejt
Interpreting Discomfort hija sensiela ta' pitturi biż-żejt dwar l-ispazju personali u l-pressjoni soċjali. Ix-xogħlijiet juru idejn u għajnejn f'xeni stinżjati li jirrikreaw mumenti ta' kuljum ta' skomdità. Azzjonijiet ta' kura jistgħu jġibu n-nies eqreb lejn xulxin, iżda wisq attenzjoni tista' wkoll tikkawża skomdità. Il-pitturi jgħaqqdu żewġ tekniki. Il-pittura indiretta tibni bażi bl-iswed u l-abjad li mbagħad tiġi ggleyzjata bil-kulur. Il-pittura diretta tapplika kulur imħallat direttament fuq is-superfiċje. Is-sensiela hija magħmula bi żejt fuq il-kanvas u pannell tal-injam, u tintwera fil-galleriji bħala punt tat-tluq għal konversazzjoni.

- Production Technology
- She examined the difference between indirect painting and direct painting, and used both of them in the picture. Direct painting is the method of contemporary painting, which directly superimposes the adjusted color on the canvas.
Materials used: Oil paint, Wood Panel, Canvas - Design Challenge
- Ideation and the atmosphere is the hardest part of this project. In the presentation of the picture, the shape of the hands must be placed harmoniously in the picture without losing the beauty.
- Research
- The first thing is to study how to create an uncomfortable atmosphere. Eyes and hands are good parts for expressing emotions. The unnatural feeling of combining these two makes the picture more attractive and intriguing.
- Inspiration
- The images she make for this project are staged recreations of her own experience, and she believe that it is also the experience of many other people. This series deals with issues of discomfort and stress in everyday life. We all care about how others view us, this has become the same as our invisible living standards.
- Project Duration
- The project began in San Francisco in 2020. Participated in Contemporary Venice 2021, Italy and Small Works 2021, New York.
- Operation Flow
- It will be displayed in a gallery, and these paintings can be a tool for conversation.
