About WithYou Kamera għad-Detezzjoni tal-Waqgħat
WithYou huwa apparat għad-detezzjoni tal-waqgħat iddisinjat għall-persuni anzjani fi djarhom. WithYou tuża kamera tal-fond biex taqra l-pożizzjoni tal-ġisem tal-bniedem, b'hekk il-waqgħat jiġu individwati mingħajr ma jinħażnu immaġini identifikabbli u l-privatezza tiġi protetta. Meta sseħħ waqgħa, il-kuntatti ta' emerġenza u l-persunal mediku jiġu nnotifikati minnufih, sabiex il-ħsara tista' titnaqqas. Kelliem inkorporat jippermetti lit-tobba jagħtu gwida professjonali. Dawl jinxtegħel u jiddi meta persuna toqrob, u d-dawl jinbidel meta jiġi individwat perikolu. Il-forma sempliċi taqbel mal-ambjent domestiku.

- Unique Properties
- WithYou uses a depth camera for human posture detection. On the premise of protecting privacy, it detects falls and notifies emergency contacts and medical personnel in time to minimize the harm to the elderly.
WithYou also has a speaker, through which doctors can provide professional guidance for the elderly.
When an approach is detected, the light turns on and flows. And when danger is detected, the light changes accordingly, giving the user a sense of security and companionship. - Dimensions & Packaging
- The human body posture is judged by using the Heatmap algorithm and the dep algorithm. In terms of design, we hope withu will become the guardian of users, so we add the interactive element of light.

- Privacy Protected, Falls Detection, Emergency Contacts, Companionship
- Production Technology
- In terms of algorithm, we use Depthmap for human posture prediction, Heatmap for background segmentation, temporal and spatial information for behavior understanding and human posture judgment. In design, we pursue simple design language in order to better integrate into the home environment.
- Design Challenge
- Data privacy is a major challenge for smart home, and how to protect privacy reasonably and effectively is the biggest problem we face. Therefore we therefore use a deep camera and develop the algorithm accordingly, so there is no possibility of privacy leakage from the data source. In the appearance design, how to make the protection detection device accepted by users is also the main problem we solve.
- Research
- Using a deep camera to achieve the acquisition of body pose information while protecting the user's privacy, and the corresponding algorithm development was carried out. Interaction with light. A flowing light is emitted to alert the user when he approaches. With the corresponding APP, a fall occurs so that the first time to notify emergency contacts and nearby hospitals.
- Inspiration
- According to statistics, 70% of elderly falls occur in the bathroom. In addition to fall prevention, timely detection after a fall is also a key issue. But for privacy reasons, traditional cameras in bathrooms are not universally accepted.
With a simple and friendly appearance, WithYou better integrates into the environment. - Project Duration
- The project started in January 2021 and finished in January 2022 in Shanghai.
- Operation Flow
- Users set up emergency contacts and whether to call an ambulance on the app. After the fall, WithYou immediately notifies emergency contacts. WithYou also has a speaker, through which doctors can provide professional guidance for the elderly.
