About Track Sett tal-Mejda

Track huwa sett tal-mejda taċ-ċeramika li jinkludi platti, tazzi u vażetti tal-fjuri. Il-forom huma sempliċi u l-kuluri huma vivaċi. Superfiċji bojod jinkurvaw tul kull biċċa bħal silġ u borra jitrikkbu, u l-istruttura li togħla u tinżel tagħmel il-kontorni aktar ċari. Is-sett huwa prodott permezz ta' fusjoni bl-użu ta' stampi taċ-ċeramika u jinħaraq f'temperatura ta' 1250 grad Celsius. Il-forom li jiddeformaw faċilment jiġu sostnuti bl-alumina matul il-ħruq f'temperatura għolja, u mbagħad jiġu ingliżjati u jinħarqu mill-ġdid. Id-disinn jibqa' kwiet u modest, sabiex l-ikel jibqa' l-fokus tal-ikla.

Production Technology
The work is made of ceramic mould casting technique. Fired to 1250℃.
Design Challenge
The main difficulty in the development of the project was the deformation of the ceramic material. In solving this, I used a high temperature firing and low temperature glaze firing method for extremely deformable forms. The pieces are brazed with alumina during the high temperature firing process and then glazed for a third firing after shaping.
Research
Type of research: applied research, Research Objectives: tableware, Methodology: computer-aided design, Data collection: market research and questionnaires, Experiment: perception of the use of the piece, Results: the design in its shape makes the consumer more eager to buy and the meal experience becomes relaxed and enjoyable.
Inspiration
Dining times are often warm and beautiful, and a pleasant set of tableware can make the real thing more delicious. Tableware is the coat of food, so tableware design should not be noisy, but should be quiet and modest.
Project Duration
Started in June 2022 and finished in August.
