Flores hija sodda tal-ġurnata ddisinjata għal bilqiegħda rilassata u mistrieħ. Il-biċċa għandha forma ċirkolari, u dahar imgħawweġ idur kontinwament madwar is-sit biex joħloq sens ta' għeluq. Il-volum ewlieni jistrieħ fuq bażi diskreta għall-istabbiltà, filwaqt li mejda tal-ġenb integrata toffri wiċċ għal kotba, xorb jew oġġetti personali. Struttura interna robusta hija kkombinata ma' fowm ta' densità għolja u tapizzerija ratba, b'ħjata preċiża li ssegwi l-kurvi. Il-mejda tal-ġenb hija magħmula minn injam naturali fuq struttura rqiqa tal-metall.

Unique Properties: The piece features a generous circular geometry that encourages relaxed use. A curved backrest wraps continuously around the seat, creating a sense of enclosure and visual comfort.

The main volume rests on a discreet base for stability, while an integrated side table adds function without compromising formal clarity.

Soft, uniform upholstery enhances the tactile quality and highlights the precise stitching that follows the natural curves of the design.

Production Technology: The piece combines a robust internal structure with high-density foam, carefully shaped to preserve its curves and ergonomic comfort.

The upholstery is precisely applied to ensure visual continuity and a refined finish, following the organic lines of the design. The natural wood side table, supported by a discreet metal structure, provides strength while maintaining visual lightness.

The production process brings together craftsmanship and contemporary upholstery and woodworking techniques.
Design Challenge: The main challenge was balancing generous volumes with visual lightness. The continuous curves required careful attention to proportion, ergonomics, and upholstery tension to maintain refinement.

Integrating the side table seamlessly into the structure was also essential to preserve the fluidity of the design. The result is a piece that unites stability, softness, and functionality in a cohesive form.
Research: The Flores Daybed, designed by João Demele, is a design piece that reflects inspiration from nature, with an aesthetic that evokes the softness and elegance of flowers.
Inspiration: Flores is inspired by the organic qualities and quiet strength of nature. The piece interprets the idea of blooming through form and materiality. Like a flower emerging from the earth, its design begins with a solid base and unfolds into soft, welcoming curves.

The rounded volumes evoke the delicacy of petals, while the balanced relationship between structure and softness expresses a dialogue between firmness and lightness. The result is an object that conveys serenity, comfort, and a sense of timeless elegance.
Project Duration: The project began in 2023 and was published in 2024, in São Paulo, Brazil.
Operation Flow: The circular configuration supports a fluid and informal user experience. The continuous backrest allows different seating positions, functioning both as support and as a subtle enclosing element.

The integrated side table enhances interaction with the piece, providing a practical surface for personal objects, books, or beverages. This integration encourages longer stays and moments of pause, positioning the piece as a focal point for relaxation and gathering.
