About Mazie Bank tal-Ħażna

Mazie huwa bank tal-ħażna li jintewa, iddisinjat għal djar kondiviżi ma' annimali domestiċi. Il-parti prinċipali hija kaxxa tal-ħażna retrattabbli bi struttura ta' ark flessibbli, sabiex Mazie jista' jiġi ppakkjat ċatt meta ma jkunx qed jintuża. L-immuntar jieħu tliet passi: il-ftuħ tal-korp, id-dħul tal-pjanċa tal-bażi u t-twaħħil tas-saqajn. Diversi unitajiet jistgħu jiġu mgeddsa fuq xulxin u mgħaqqda permezz ta' slots tal-kards li jaqblu biex jiffurmaw sellum għall-annimali domestiċi li ma jiżloqx jew mejda tal-ġenb. L-intern huwa magħmul minn fibreboard ta' densità medja oħxon, il-kuxxin tas-sedil huwa mimli bi sponża ta' densità għolja, u s-saqajn tas-silikon miksija bil-metall jipproteġu l-art.

Production Technology: The interior of the product is made of thick medium - density fiberboard. The stool cover is equipped with metal corner protectors inside, and the maximum static load - bearing capacity is 150kg. The seat cushion is filled with high - density sponge, which is very comfortable and can maintain its shape for a long time. The bottom feet adopt a metal - coated silicone process to prevent damage to the floor.
Design Challenge: In the creative process of this project, it is necessary to precisely balance the functions of storage, seating, and pet climbing ladder. The superposition of these three functions is likely to restrict each other, so the structure and dimensions need to be repeatedly adjusted to ensure a reasonable storage capacity, comfortable seating load-bearing, and a reasonable slope and stable stepping of the pet climbing ladder. There are significant differences in the layout and scale of different living spaces. The furniture should be adaptable to the bedrooms of various house types while maintaining a coordinated and unified appearance. In terms of material selection, it is necessary to take into account properties such as load-bearing, durability, and pet-friendliness to ensure safe and convenient use.
Research: This project focuses on optimizing the storage experience in living spaces and explores the design of multi-functional furniture. For scenarios such as bedrooms and living rooms, furniture products are developed that combine the functions of storage and seating, and can also be used as pet ladders. By analyzing the needs of living spaces and the characteristics of pet activities, and integrating ergonomics and storage logic, the Mazie series of furniture forms has been developed. It saves space, meets the needs of daily sitting and resting, and item storage, while providing safe climbing assistance for pets.
Inspiration: Mazie focuses on the needs of the human-pet cohabitation scenario, with functional integrated design as the core. The main body is a retractable storage box. Through the flexible arc structure, it can be flat-packed to meet the daily storage needs. When stacked and combined, Mazie can form a pet ladder with the help of the card slot and anti-skid structure, helping pets easily get on and off the sofa or bed, making Mazie a link connecting people and pets and optimizing space.
Project Duration: The project started in Shenzhen in April 2025 and was completed in Shenzhen in September 2025.
Operation Flow: This storage stool from the Mazie series features a foldable design. To use it, simply unfold it, insert the baseplate, and connect the feet in three easy steps. When not in use, it can be easily folded to save valuable space in your home. When you have multiple unit modules, they can be stacked and combined. Relying on the matching card slots, they form a non-slip structure. You can combine them into side tables, pet ladders, etc. according to your needs to meet the temporary needs of small apartments.
