About House of the Breathing Void Dar Residenzjali

House of the Breathing Void hija dar residenzjali organizzata madwar atriju ċentrali. L-atriju jaġixxi bħala vojt miftuħ fejn l-arja u d-dawl jiċċirkolaw liberament, u jifforma l-qalba ambjentali tad-dar. L-atriju joħloq ukoll djalogu kontinwu bejn l-ispazji interni u esterni. Id-dar issegwi prinċipji bijoklimatiċi, b'orjentazzjoni ċara lejn in-nofsinhar li taqbad id-dawl tax-xemx, tappoġġja t-tisħin passiv u tinkoraġġixxi l-ventilazzjoni naturali. L-istess orjentazzjoni tagħti lill-bini forma dijagonali, rispons li huwa kemm spazjali kif ukoll klimatiku.

Credits, team members and technical details provided by the designer.

Unique Properties: The “House of the Breathing Void” is conceived as a sanctuary of openness, a dwelling that breathes, listens, and connects. Anchored between earth and sky, the house establishes a continuous dialogue between interior and exterior, shaped by climate, light, and Mediterranean lifestyle. At its center lies an atrium, the open heart of the home, where air, light, and life circulate freely, forming both the emotional and environmental core.
Inspiration: The Atrium was the concept inspiration of the project. The house was conceived through bioclimatic principles, its geometry shaped by a clear southern orientation that captures sunlight, enhances passive heating, and invites natural ventilation. From this dual idea, the atrium and the orientation toward the sun, a diagonal gesture arose in the building’s form, a spatial and climatic response that defines its identity. Here, light becomes both material and structure, carving paths through the interior.
