About Sunny Chinese House Dizajn Intern Residenzjali
Sunny Chinese House huwa d-dizajn intern ta' villa separata b'erba' sulari u erja interna ta' 400 metru kwadru. It-tqassim huwa simetriku u jsegwi l-bilanċ tradizzjonali Ċiniż taċ-ċin u l-jang. Ħajt tal-ġebel ġdid barra t-tieqa joħloq l-impressjoni ta' bitħa. Saqaf imħażżeż u travi tal-injam jintużaw fis-salott għoli. Kaligrafija, pitturi u porċellana jikkompletaw l-ambjent. Ħitan tal-ħġieġ, twieqi tas-saqaf, kamra tax-xemx u terrazza jdaħħlu d-dawl tal-jum. Għamara bbażata fuq mudelli tad-Dinastija Ming hija adattata għall-kumdità.

- The design idea of this project is extended around two aspects: embodiment of Chinese style and improvement of living comfort. The use of Chinese elements is as follows:
Firstly, layout: the interior furnishings are in a symmetrical layout, which follows the traditional Chinese concept of Yin and Yang balance to reconcile the interior ecology.
Secondly, enclosure: a new stone exterior wall are built outside the window to create an impression of traditional Chinese courtyard structure.
Thirdly, roof: the pitched roof is built in the high-rise living room, and log Chinese lintel modelling is used.
Fourthly, furnishings: Chinese-style design furniture, calligraphy and paintings with Chinese style and porcelains are used to create a distinctive Chinese cultural atmosphere.
Improvement of living comfort is as follows:
Firstly, the exterior walls of the public area in the living room are removed and replaced with full glass windows, which integrates the interior and exterior natural environment to bring better lighting and view to the interior.
Secondly, skylight, sunroom, terrace and so on are added into the bedroom to enhance the interaction between human and nature.
Thirdly, the Chinese Ming Dynasty furniture was used as a template to create a more comfortable new Chinese furniture. - Design Challenge
- The original building is a typical modern multi-storey detached villa. How to create the feeling of traditional Chinese courtyard with inward enclosure is the biggest challenge.
The designer built a new two-storey high wall outside the living room, creating a sense of enclosed courtyard. Architectural elements such as pitched roof and log roof beam etc., are used to create distinctive Chinese features with indoor furnishings such as calligraphy, paintings, furniture and porcelain. - Research
