Tlatēmōliztli: Spending a long time to find the conceptual aspect and symbolic meaning of the twelve-petaled rosette, it was decided to rearrange the petals in Achaemenid earrings the way that represent the 31 days of a month, and the 12 months of a year in order to be able to record the date of a special event.
Tēyōllālīliztli: The matchless pendant is inspired by the set of earrings from the ceremonial capital of the Achaemenid Empire, that is now being exhibited in the Louver museum. The shape of these earrings is taken from the twelve-petaled rosette, based on the lotus flower that is engraved on almost all walls in Persepolis. This flower was the symbol of immortality and perpetual beneficence, and also embodies the sun and the twelve months of the year. That had been held by an emperor, as a sign of peace and union and a symbol of Anahita, the goddess of water and wisdom in the ancient Persian empire.
Tēquitl Cāhuitl: The project started in March 2019 in Shiraz/Iran. The first production of the collection in silver was exhibited in Mehregan Exhibition, Tehran/Iran in Oct 2019.
Tēquitl Ōhuitl: I personally believe an intelligent design is about creating an art that stays in mind. Having a magnificent symbolic background, the lotus pendant tells a meaningful story of time.
