Serpentinata er en skrivepenn laget ved hjelp av 3D-printing. Designet er et svar på avfallet som skapes av masseproduksjon, hvor det lages flere varer enn det er behov for. Digital produksjon gjør det mulig å produsere hver enkelt penn kun når den trengs, slik at overskuddslager unngås. Den vridde formen minner om figura serpentinata, en renessanseteknikk som tilfører en spiralbevegelse til den menneskelige figuren for å skape en grasiøs og dynamisk effekt. Formen er ment å gi synlig uttrykk til intelligens og til ideer født av inspirasjon.

Unique Properties: In the rapidly changing society, the problem of wastes during mass production is an unsolved problem for decades, at the expense of the environment.
The idea of using new production technologies to create products that are only just needed is our concept.
Serpentinata, the 3D printed pen, is our first product, and it is aimed at and designed to reduce the impact on the environment by producing only what we need.
Production Technology: Figura Serpentinata is the Italian word for serpentine. It is the name of the Renaissance technique that was created to give a more graceful and dynamic feeling by adding a twisting movement to the motif of the human body.
It has the meaning of the ideas that we can create from nothing only based on inspiration. We designed while thinking that if the intelligence was visualized in a shape, it would look like this.
And this is where Serpentinata is named.
Inspiration: In recent years, the concept of digital fabrication has emerged worldwide to bring one answer to the waste problem of mass production. The idea is to use new production technologies, such as 3D printers, to create new products that suit one only, which one can not have with mass production. We decided to think about products that can be produced by digital fabrication with this aim, and this pen is our first product.
