Archi-Lab is an architecture studio interior designed as a place for spatial experiments. The design brings exterior materials inside. Brick, concrete, tiles and re-bars are common exterior materials in the sub-tropical city of Taipei, where rain and humidity have led to tiled outer walls. Within Archi-Lab, these materials are re-organized to bring the scale of the exterior into the interior. New walls are mixed with old brick, and the book shelves are made from re-bars. The intent is to explore new possibilities in spatial design.

- Unique Properties
- In this Archi-lab (architecture laboratory), we are experimenting “outside in”. The combination of the common exterior material in this sub-tropical city, such as brick, concrete, tiles and re-bars, are re-organized to bring the exterior scale to interior. The mixing of the new walls and old brick, the book shelves made from re-bars, are all architecture experiments which are on our way to explore the possibilities in spatial design.

- Inspiration
- aipei is a typical Asian city in which the style of the architecture is strongly affected by wester modernism. Taipei is a rainy humid city that makes the most of exterior walls full of tiles. We see more and more old tile buildings from the past decades.
