- Production Technology
- The device housing is CNC-milled from 6061-T6 or 6082-T6 grade aluminum. An ABS plastic insert, press-fitted into the housing, is used for mounting internal components. The bottle is made from soda-lime glass using the Press and Blow method, followed by surface painting. The design was developed using Fusion 360 CAD software.
- Design Challenge
- The initial task was to design a premium aroma diffuser, but I went further and reimagined the concept itself. I created a high-performance smart device that delivers more efficient scent diffusion, offers smart home integration with customizable scenarios. The design, inspired by perfume bottles, visually reflects the exclusivity of the fragrances. The multi-layered packaging is made from premium recycled paper, and the refillable fragrance bottle further reinforces the eco-friendly concept.
- Project Duration
- The project started in December 2024 in Spain and finished in June 2025 in Valencia, Spain
- Operation Flow
- The atomizer uses ultrasonic technology to gently evaporate the liquid. It can work in a simple standalone mode-just insert your favorite fragrance bottle and select the misting mode with a single button. It also connects to smart home systems for advanced control and automation. The device is silent, resembles a perfume bottle, and offers a selection of premium fragrances, making it a stylish addition to any interior.
- Research
- The research focused on testing various types of diffusers: evaporative, aerosol, and ultrasonic - to analyze strengths and
weaknesses. As a result most products lacked either aesthetics or quality. I chose the style of a perfume bottle that seamlessly fits into any interior. To develop it, I conducted market research on luxury perfumery and analyzed product positioning and advertising. This process helped me create unique bottles for each fragrance, balancing aesthetics and functionality. - Inspiration
- The design of this diffuser is inspired by the dialogue between two worlds: technological elegance and primal nature. Its smooth, almost perfect metallic top symbolizes purity and precision, while the textured, organic base evokes natural surfaces such as earth, tree bark, or honeycombs, highlighting the connection to raw, unrefined structures created without human intervention.
