Baia came into existence in Shibuya the center of Tokyo metropolitan as a cave suddenly appeared in the city. It consists of 5 floors; a basement, 3 stories, and a rooftop terrace, and the design concept of the entire floor is a cave within the city. The designers believed only a minimal design could visualize the fascinating and exotic atmosphere of a cave, and kept it minimal using emerald green lighting and mortar which they think suited for this modern cave. The lighting plan of fascinating emerald green lights added glamor to the space and helped visualize the design concept.

- We were inspired by the fascinating and exotic atmosphere of a cave. We hope to trigger a chain reaction of positive inspirations by making an appearance of the design inspired by a cave in the very center of Tokyo.
