Production Technology
The Eurobump Multifunctional Workspace was developed using a research-driven approach, incorporating ethnographic observation and employee interviews to tailor the design. Sustainable materials, including FSC-certified wood and energy-efficient glass, enhance durability. Precision CNC machining ensures seamless modular integration, while ergonomic principles optimize workflow. To improve acoustics and maintenance, Tarkett modular vinyl tiles replace traditional stone flooring.
Design Challenge
One of the biggest challenges was navigating the limited openness of the firm’s owners toward change. While they accepted certain ideas, they were hesitant about others, particularly those embracing modern workspace dynamics. Convincing them required extensive research-backed arguments, demonstrating how a multifunctional office enhances productivity and well-being. Overcoming their skepticism and securing approval for progressive design choices was a key hurdle in the project.
Project Duration
The project phase was started on November 2021 in Istanbul Turkey at our design studio. Later the construction work of the project started in February 2022 and ended in beginning og June 2022.
Operation Flow
The Eurobump Multifunctional Workspace is designed for seamless adaptability, allowing employees to transition between focused work, teamwork, and informal interactions effortlessly. Modular elements enable quick reconfiguration, while natural light and ergonomic features enhance comfort and efficiency. Flexible zones support movement and collaboration, fostering innovation. The design prioritizes well-being, using nature-inspired hues and sustainable materials to create a balanced, productive atmosphere.
Research
This research explores the spatial needs of car part factory offices through ethnographic observation and interviews with employees. By analyzing work environments in similar companies, key needs for functionality and comfort were identified. The study informed the design of a multifunctional office outside the city, balancing efficiency with employee well-being. Findings highlight the impact of well-planned workspaces on productivity and satisfaction in industrial settings.
Inspiration
The Eurobump Multifunctional Workspace is inspired by evolving work environments and the need for adaptability. It integrates flexibility, movement, and collaboration while fostering innovation. Natural light, modular elements, and ergonomic solutions create a dynamic space. Bold wood tones enhance importance, while nature-inspired hues bring calm and balance, reinforcing productivity in a warm, inviting atmosphere.
