House of the Mystic Art is a private residence in Taipei, Taiwan, that also serves as a workplace, since the owner hosts a live-streamed talk show at home. The apartment is three decades old and covers 152 square metres. The ceiling stands at 2.68 metres, while the maximum height under the beams is 2.13 metres, which created a sense of constraint. The floor plan was replanned to improve circulation and natural light. Ceilings were set at different heights to vary the visual experience. Materials include mineral paint, stone, wood, stainless steel, tile, glass and plants.
