Marina Gold is a resort hotel located on Mui Ne Beach in southeastern Vietnam. The building rises diagonally from the seventh to the twentieth floor, recalling the form of a cruise ship setting sail. A cantilevered glass-bottom pool extends toward the ocean on the top floor, next to a bar lounge and a restaurant with wide views. The exterior uses gold-finished panels that reflect the sunset light. The structure is reinforced concrete with steel components that support the cantilevered sections. The interiors are finished in wood and marble.

Production Technology
The building exterior features special gold-finished panels that reflect the sunset. The structure is primarily reinforced concrete with steel components enabling the cantilevered sections. The interior incorporates premium wood and marble finishes, enhancing the ambiance of a luxury cruise ship.
Design Challenge
The biggest challenge was balancing futuristic aesthetics with structural feasibility. The cantilevered glass-bottom pool required advanced engineering to ensure safety while maintaining visual lightness. Strict coastal regulations and material limitations influenced design choices. Extensive environmental analysis was conducted to optimize light reflection and aerodynamics. Overcoming these obstacles led to a harmonious blend of innovation, sustainability, and guest experience.
Project Duration
The project is scheduled to open in 2030 on Mui Ne Beach, Vietnam.
Operation Flow
Surrounded by Mui Ne Beach’s ocean and forest, the hotel provides a harmonious resort experience. The rooftop pool, bar, and expansive shared terrace on the 6th floor create a unique and memorable space for guests.
Research
This research integrates futuristic aesthetics with sustainable resort design. The goal was to create a structure that harmonizes with its coastal surroundings while evoking a luxury cruise ship. Simulations and material studies examined light reflection and aerodynamics. Guest experience studies informed spatial planning, enhancing both visual and functional engagement. The findings contribute to resort architecture, influencing sustainable tourism and coastal hospitality.
Inspiration
Inspired by Mui Ne Beach’s breathtaking sunset, the design theme is a "Floating Luxury Cruise Ship." The building’s golden exterior reflects the setting sun, creating the appearance of a ship glowing in warm golden hues. A glass-bottom pool and a panoramic restaurant on the rooftop provide an unparalleled resort experience, enhancing the connection between architecture and nature.
