Portable Waterproof is a compact portable speaker designed for use in many different settings. A magnetic module at the base holds the speaker on metal surfaces such as refrigerator doors, door frames and fitness equipment. Sixteen neodymium magnets are arranged in a ring and kept away from the audio driver, and a shielding layer supports stable sound output. The body pairs brushed metal at the base with soft fabric on the top, and a leather side strap helps with carrying. The speaker offers TWS connectivity, an IPX7 waterproof rating and a 12 hour battery life.

- The bottom brushed metal and top soft fabric create a refined visual contrast that blends technological sophistication with everyday friendliness, fitting seamlessly into both indoor and outdoor environments.
- Design Challenge
- The main challenge was integrating a magnetic mounting module into a compact body without compromising audio performance. The design team precisely calculated the magnetic interference between the magnets and the audio driver, developing a magnetic acoustic isolation structure. Sixteen neodymium magnets are arranged in a ring formation at the bottom, strategically distanced from the driver. Paired with a shielding layer, it ensures secure magnetic attachment and a clean, stable sound output.
- Operation Flow
- It simplifies interaction for intuitive operation. A multifunctional button at the base supports short press for pausing, long press for rejecting calls, and triple press for restoring factory settings. During use, a blue breathing light at the base adds a sense of vitality. In standby mode, the light shifts colors to indicate battery levels, harmonizing functional feedback with visual elegance.
A leather side strap offers added portability, perfect for hand carrying or attaching to a backpack. - Research
- Breaking free from traditional placement limitations with its magnetic mounting structure, it enables all scenario placement. A 16 core dual magnet array at the bottom ensures secure attachment to various metal surfaces, allowing users to enjoy music anytime, anywhere. It can be attached to the back of a smartphone as a phone stand. Supporting vertical and horizontal placement, it enables effortless switching between music and video playback for a handsfree, immersive audiovisual experience.
- Inspiration
- The speaker follows users’ growing demand for all scenario use instead of fixed scenario use. Traditional speakers, with limited placement flexibility, often fall short of meeting diverse user needs. In response, the design team developed this magnetic stand speaker, which can be flexibly attached to various surfaces, suitable for kitchens, bathrooms, gyms, and other scenarios. With an IPX7 waterproof rating and 12 hour extended battery life, it ensures relaxing musical enjoyment.
