The Realm of Graphite is a residential interior design for a 116 square meter home in Taoyuan City. A palette of black, gray and white is combined with warm wood tones and stone accents. A cross-shaped circulation plan places the living room and dining room at the center, while the bedrooms are arranged around the perimeter. Laminate herringbone flooring, curved details and an arched ceiling add classical references to a modern framework. Wood cladding conceals a low structural beam, and dark slatted panels with sliding doors form the television wall.

The herringbone flooring, the curved patterns on the kitchen sliding door, and the arched ceiling all nod to classical design. Reimagined through careful attention to proportion, scale, and material, these elements forgo ornate carvings to reveal a subtle classical essence. Whisper-soft textures flow effortlessly throughout the home, shaping a space that is both contemporary and cozy.
