Production Technology
Twiggle Tea Packaging was developed using vector-based design methodology to ensure precision and scalability. Each variant employs a controlled color-coded system supported by custom botanical illustrations & realistic photographs created through simplified geometric construction. A structured grid layout was applied to maintain hierarchy and alignment. The packaging is optimized for offset printing on high-quality paperboard with matte finish, selective spot UV, and optional embossing for brand elements, ensuring visual clarity, tactile quality, and consistent reproduction across production batches.
Design Challenge
The primary challenge was balancing playful visual energy with clear product communication across multiple variants. Excessive color risked reducing readability, while minimal layouts weakened shelf impact. Another difficulty was maintaining consistency while allowing each herbal variant to feel distinct. Print limitations and color accuracy in production required controlled palettes and simplified illustrations. The solution involved a structured grid, disciplined typography, and carefully calibrated color coding, achieving strong differentiation without compromising clarity, hierarchy, or production feasibility.
Project Duration
The project started in August 2025 in Jaipur and finished in October 2025 in Jaipur
Operation Flow
Twiggle Tea Packaging is designed for simple and intuitive interaction. The clear front layout helps users quickly identify the herbal variant through color and botanical illustration. Key benefits are visible at a glance, supporting fast decision making in retail environments. The carton opens from the top, allowing easy access to tea bags inside. Consistent visual coding across variants helps users recognize flavors during repeat purchase. The structured layout improves readability, while the balanced design enhances shelf visibility and overall user experience.
Research
Qualitative and observational research was conducted to understand herbal tea purchase behavior. The objective was to improve shelf recognition and benefit communication. Methodology included retail audits, visual comparison studies, and color association mapping. Data was collected using market photography, competitor analysis, and quick user preference surveys. Participants included regular tea consumers and retail shoppers. Results showed strong preference for color coded variants and clear botanical cues. Insights led to structured hierarchy and bold differentiation, improving visibility, recall, and clearer wellness communication in real retail environments.
Inspiration
The inspiration emerged from the natural vitality of herbal ingredients and the desire to make wellness visually expressive. Research into consumer behavior in retail environments highlighted the need for strong color coding and immediate benefit communication. Botanical forms were simplified into bold, modern compositions to enhance recognition. The design merges playful energy with structured hierarchy, ensuring clarity, emotional warmth, and strong shelf presence.
