The White Dragon is a 150 meters mega yacht harmonizing organic sculpture with advanced marine engineering. Its defining feature is a structural exoskeleton, a colossal carved form enveloping a minimalist hull to create a fluid silhouette. The interior is anchored by the Dragon's Eye, a multi level circular atrium designed to channel natural light through the vessel's heart. Beyond aesthetics, the design integrates sustainable technology via a modular photovoltaic skin. This eight deck concept combines a private bi level owner's sanctuary with an innovative wellness hub.

Unique Properties
The defining feature of the yacht is an integrated structural exoskeleton- a colossal carved sculpture wrapping the minimalist hull. The centerpiece is the Eye of Dragon, a circular panoramic atrium creating a powerful connection to the sea, allowing natural light to flow through all decks via a vertical sanctuary of light. The dragon's scales form a modular photovoltaic skin, generating solar energy.

Production Technology
The project envisions the use of large-scale 3D printing and advanced carbon-fiber composites for the sculptural exoskeleton. The vessel is powered by a hybrid hydrogen-electric propulsion system for zero-emission cruising. The Dragon's Eye atrium utilizes high-performance smart glass with embedded transparent solar cells to reduce energy consumption for climate control.
Design Challenge
The primary challenge was integrating a monumental organic sculpture into a high-performance 150-meter hull without compromising maritime aerodynamics and aesthetics. Overcoming the visual "heaviness" of the dragon required meticulous digital modeling to refine the exoskeleton into a balanced, load-bearing structure. Harmonizing traditional Chinese mythology with futuristic luxury standards ensured the vessel appeals to a global elite while maintaining its unique cultural soul.
Project Duration
The project commenced in September 2025 in Lucca, Italy. Currently in its final development stage, the design is scheduled for conceptual completion by late March 2026. The creative process involved extensive research into maritime engineering alongside Chinese cultural iconography and mythology. This was followed by advanced 3D modeling and AI-assisted visualization phases to ensure the structural feasibility of the intricate exoskeleton and the integration of sustainable propulsion systems.
Operation Flow
The interior follows a biophilic philosophy, featuring a cavernous multi-level saloon with an indoor infinity pool and integrated vertical forests. The expansive foredeck serves as a multi-functional hub: a helideck, an open-air cinema, or a ceremonial plaza. Inside the dragon’s head, a secluded VIP observation lounge offers a 270-degree view. The aft deck is designed as an amphitheater-style social arena, cascading down to a luxurious beach club.
Research
This design-led research explored the integration of cultural iconography into naval architecture. Using a methodology of AI-assisted formal analysis and 3D modeling, the study focused on the synergy between serpentine mythological forms and yacht hulls. The project suggests that a structural exoskeleton could potentially reduce reliance on traditional internal bulkheads, enhancing spatial flow. Insight: biophilic design and mythological symbolism significantly increase the emotional and market value of mega-yachts.
Inspiration
The White Dragon Mega yacht is a profound tribute to Chinese cultural heritage, where the dragon symbolizes power, strength, and good fortune. The inspiration stems from the fluid, serpentine movement of this mythical creature. The design seeks to bridge the gap between traditional Eastern aesthetics and futuristic naval architecture, transforming a 150-meter vessel into a monumental floating sculpture.
