Jake Wilkins · CLIENT: Yuplet

Yuplet Branding is a corporate identity created for a marketplace of handmade and sustainable products. The system is centred on a crescent motif, applied consistently across the custom wordmark, iconography, illustrations and layouts. Vivid green marks the buyer experience, while rich purple guides sellers, giving each user group a clear visual signal. Rounded forms, bold contrast and mobile-first cues, drawn from research with younger consumers, extend the identity across digital and printed touchpoints. Digital assets were prepared in vector format.

Unique Properties
Yuplet is a marketplace for handmade and sustainable products, aiming at the next generation of consumers. This identity reimagines sustainability for gen-z, blending consumer appeal with merchant utility through a vibrant visual system. A crescent motif unifies bespoke iconography, illustrations, and layouts across digital and physical touchpoints, whilst vivid green and rich purple distinguish buyer and seller experiences.
Dimensions & Packaging
The work included the development of a custom wordmark, crescent-based iconography set, illustration system, colour scheme, and design guidelines. Digital assets were created in vector format (SVG, PDF), optimised for responsive use across platforms.

Production Technology
The design was developed through an iterative, research-driven process combining user-centered design methodologies with brand systems thinking. We crafted a custom wordmark and crescent-based motif, then extended it into iconography, illustrations, and UI components.
Design Challenge
The biggest challenge was creating a cohesive brand with visual appeal for such a wide set of users and scenarios, all while making sustainability feel exciting. Socially, we had to overcome the perception that eco-conscious products lack style or convenience.
Project Duration
This project was completed over a period of 8 weeks in London, United Kingdom, starting in December 2024.
Operation Flow
Bright green draws in shoppers, while rich purple guides sellers. The crescent shape moves playfully across screens and print, helping users navigate and recognise the brand instantly. Whether browsing the app, seeing a billboard, or receiving a package, every touchpoint should feel connected, clear, and visually exciting.
Research
We conducted qualitative user research to understand how younger consumers engage with sustainable products. Our goal was to make sustainability more appealing and accessible. Using surveys and interviews we found a strong preference for bold visuals, intuitive design, and brands with purpose.
Inspiration
Inspired by a desire to reposition sustainability as aspirational rather than sacrificial, especially for digital natives, this work draws from extensive user interviews, surveys, and persona development, and identified key visual and behavioural cues that resonate with this audience. Influenced by the mobile-first design language of rounded forms, bold contrast, and playful minimalism, we translated these digital-native aesthetics into a unified brand system across both screen and print.
