Over Whyte Woolf Primaire Functie: Interieurontwerp Fitnessclub
Whyte Woolf is een fitnessclubinterieur in Chengdu met een oppervlakte van 1800 vierkante meter. Het ontwerp is geïnspireerd op het bijbelse verhaal van de Hof van Eden en reflecteert op de overgang van lichamelijke arbeid voor overleving naar bewuste lichaamsbeweging die het lichaam vormgeeft. De indeling voorkomt verspilde ruimte, terwijl symbolische figuren en artistieke installaties het sobere interieur de sfeer van een kunstgalerie geven. De gebruikte materialen zijn onder meer glas, aluminiumlegeringprofielen, wit staal, kunstmatig terrazzo, gips en kunststof houten vloeren.
